Set your operating priorities first, score demonstrated evidence and track the percentage of requirements actually evaluated. The scorecard leaves unanswered questions unscored.
Build your own demo scorecard
The suggested starting weights are editable. Score demonstrated evidence from 1 to 5; leave an unanswered requirement unscored. This worksheet contains no pre-assigned vendor ratings.
Use evidence for each score.
Record the edition, configuration, shipment scenario and demonstrated result. A 1 can mean the demonstration left substantial manual work; a 5 can mean the requirement was met end to end. Define the scoring criteria before the demos so each product faces the same test.
Pricing source breadth
Show own carrier contracts, dynamic carrier offers, spot quotes and several national 3PL sources separately. Identify which offers are eligible and executable for the customer account.
Customer-specific profile analysis
Change dimensions, class, weight and distance, then ask for an explanation of the resulting cost movement. Review linehaul, fuel and accessorials separately and reconcile overlapping effects.
Execution and implementation
Follow the quote to tender, documentation, status and invoice. Establish the integrations, responsibilities, training and support needed to reproduce the demonstration in daily use.
Interpret the coverage as well as the score.
The worksheet normalizes the score over evaluated weights. A high score with 20% coverage is not comparable to a similar score with 100% coverage without reviewing the unanswered criteria. Unscored requirements never become zero-rated product failures.
